Our Mission

Allays mission is to assist all property owners and management firms when disasters occur. We understand that real property is commonly investors and homeowners’ biggest assets and can disrupt their income and lives dramatically if not handled promptly, professionally, and compassionately. As such, our clients will directly benefit from our in-depth construction and insurance knowledge, by providing fact-based answers to our clients and familiar documentation to their insurers. When combined, potential loss exposure is minimized, unnecessary damage is eliminated, and our customer’s claims are expedited.

Who We Are

My name is Trent Blehm, I am the founder, owner, and operator of Allay Mitigation Services. I have been in the insurance and construction industries collectively for 20 years. I’ve gained extensive knowledge of the industry serving as a commercial insurance account executive, personal and commercial lines insurance broker, catastrophe storm adjuster, claim reviewer, and a field staff adjuster for several of the nation’s largest insurance carriers.


Notably, I have adjusted claims for major named storms such a Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ike, Super Storm Sandy, Wildfires of 2003 and 2006 in Southern California, and hail storms across the Midwest. I personally have adjusted over 10,730 claims and settled over $97,500,000 in property damage losses. These losses range from small water losses to multi-million dollar structural fires, floods, theft and vandalism losses, wind and hail, along with third-party liability investigations.


While working in the insurance industry and regularly with restoration contractors, I learned there is a great need for a mitigation company that uses an ethical and transparent approach to property losses. I also frequently encountered many restoration contractors who do not provide basic documentation or simply explain to their clients the expectations or costs of their services. These common pitfalls disrupt people’s lives by being displaced from their homes, cost businesses revenue, delay claim settlement, and can sometimes get a claim denied.


After leaving the insurance industry, I went to work with a hammer and a tool belt to gain the necessary hands-on construction knowledge, so I could truly grasp the construction trade. I thirsted for this knowledge as it was commonly discussed and negotiated when settling claims.


While working alongside trusted construction professionals, I’ve assisted in project managing, estimating, building and remodeling residences throughout the Treasure Valley. From basements to kitchen and bathroom remodels to ground-up construction, is just some of the work experience I’ve gained.


As the time passed in both professions, I found when disasters occurred, peoples’ lives are adversely affected and insurance is most commonly used to indemnify the policyholders. Unfortunately, too many times sub-par companies are the only choices people have. This resulted in a tainted view of the whole industry for all whose livelihood depends on it. So, I thought, what better way than to be able to assist people, than by combining my two professions and providing a truly smooth and embracing experience when the unthinkable occurs.
